Living a Successful HD Life with ADHD | Vivian Tan | TEDxYouth@RHHS

Better Brain, Better Game!

I always noticed that I was different; I was academically successful, but I still had trouble focusing and interacting with others, and it took a toll on me. After getting diagnosed, I realized that I had ADHD. I was not sure if it made my life easier, as my family wasn’t aware of my condition. It was something I was ashamed of because I knew people would not sympathize and react negatively to it. They had different opinions. But I learned that I shouldn’t be ashamed. It’s okay for me to be different, and I want that to be shared with neurotypical and neurodiverse people to change their views on mental health. This talk was delivered at a TEDx event that used the TED conference format, but was organized locally by a community. Find out more at x
