One study found that 70% of people with ADHD met the criteria for perfectionism, compared to 30% of people without ADHD. Another study found that perfectionism is associated with a number of negative outcomes in people with ADHD, including anxiety, depression, and procrastination. Perfectionism can also lead to a fear of failure which can make us feel a need to control every aspect of our lives.
